Do I have to be a quilter to make a square?

You do not! Feel free to sew, embroider, paint, or glue your design.

What kind of material should I use for my square?

Cotton and cotton/polyester blend are best. We've found that stretchy fabrics (like t-shirts) don't work as well.

Do you accept crocheted or knitted squares?

Unfortunately, we don't. However, we're happy to accept squares with crocheted elements embedded in the design.

May I use fabric paint for my square?

Yes. Please be sure that the paint is made for use on fabric.

If I want to form a small group of friends to create squares together, can you provide us with some advice about how to get started?
